A massive saltwater crocodile has shocked onlookers after popping up next to a ferry cable.
The imposing reptile, estimated to be at least three metres long, was spotted and filmed by locals next to the large cable on the Daintree River, in Far North Queensland.
At one stage, the crocodile s head was clearly visible to shocked witnesses at the scene.
He eventually submerged back into the water below.
