A longtime assistant Tarrant County medical examiner, Dr. Marc Krouse, was placed on administrative leave Thursday amid an ongoing investigation and his last day will be April 24, the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office said in a statement. The man driving the car was hit by at least one bullet, police said. The passenger in the car, police said, was able to move the driver to the passenger seat and drive the car to a home on the 600 block of Cousins Lane, about a block from the convenience store.
The victim, whose name has not yet been released and is known only as a 21-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The man s identity will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner s Office once his family has been identified.
Investigators are currently trying to get surveillance footage from the convenience store but that they have no clear motive at this time and have not identified any suspects or made any arrests.

Feb. 6 Texas Department of Transportation employees on Thursday found in a culvert near a creek and service road in Euless the body of a 22-year-old Arlington man who had been shot to death, police said.
Arlington police suggested that Younis Alhassinyani s body was left in the culvert after he was slain. He was shot in the neck, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner s Office.
One of Alhassinyani s parents reported to Arlington police on Tuesday that he was missing. The parent became concerned after Alhassinyani did not respond to telephone calls or text messages, Arlington police said Friday.
