The family says body was in limbo for weeks without an official autopsy before the family tried to have one performed in Dallas County only to have authorities demand that the remains be returned. Marks on the body also have raised their suspicions.

DALLAS Texas wildlife officials say they suspect that a mountain lion killed over the weekend was the same one spotted outside of Dallas in recent weeks.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said Tuesday that the mountain lion – an adult male that weighed about 160 pounds – was legally killed Saturday by a deer hunter.
Wildlife officials say mountain lions are very uncommon in North Texas, and they suspect the mountain lion that was killed was the same one seen and photographed in the Dallas suburb of Rowlett in late November and near Princeton – about 20 miles to the north – earlier this month.
Family members of Mack stated that although he had stopped contacting them in the past, Mack had recently been in consistent contact with the family for several years. He would ask for rides to the store at least twice a month.
Mack was entered into the system as a missing person the day after deputies first investigated the property.
On May 11, two days after detectives filed Mack as a missing person, family members told police that they would be unable to care for the dogs, so deputies began putting out food and water for the animals.
