North then allegedly jumped onto the food counter and continued to twerk as police officers entered and tried to lock herself in the public bathroom, before she was arrested. The court heard the following day North was also charged with being a public nuisance outside the Criterion Hotel Dalby, where she later allegedly assaulted and obstructed police and damaged a watch-house cell. North did not attend Dalby Magistrates Court on December 15 as scheduled, and instead sent a letter instructing she would plead guilty to all seven charges.

Leeton Neil Hedge, 22, faced Dalby Magistrates Court via video link charged with common assault in a public place while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance. The court heard police were called to the Gallery Motor Inn about 2.10am on October 18, in relation to a young woman who had been assaulted. Police spoke to the victim who gave her version of the events from 12.30am to 2.10am that evening. The court heard she left the Criterion Hotel on foot to McDonald s with Hedge about 12.30am, and visited the fast food establishment while Hedge stayed at the Freedom Fuels service station.

A teenager allegedly climbed a McDonald s restaurant counter and twerked as cops tried to arrest her before locking herself in a public bathroom.
Layla Cheyne North, 18, from Dalby in south west Queensland, is also accused of assaulting police the following day outside one of the town s local pubs.
Ms North s alleged disruption of the fast food restaurant began about 12:30am on November 20 when she repeatedly began twerking and doing handstands, a court heard on Tuesday.
