Football is back. Vikings training camp is back. And after a year away due to COVID-19, fans are back. Roughly a thousand members of the Vikings faithful were on hand at TCO Performance Center for the first full practice of camp on Wednesday, adding some energy — including a few SKOL chants — and a sense of normalcy to the day.
The Vikings had nearly their full 90-man roster out there on a windy, overcast day in Eagan, with the likes of Danielle Hunter and Anthony Barr back after missing the 2020 season to injury and newcomers like Dalvin Tomlinson and Patrick Peterson kicking off their first camp with the team.

Defensive lineman is confident on first day of training camp
Stardom is still a new concept for defensive lineman Leonard Williams.
The former No. 6 overall pick was seen as a bust after four years with the New York Jets, and struggled initially to justify the third-round pick and eventual $63 million contract the New York Giants invested in him.
But now, on the first day of Giants training camp, the only narrative surrounding Williams is how he will follow up his breakout 2020 season. That doesn’t mean his mindset has changed.

The night before they would take the field in front of their own fans for the first time in nearly 19 months, Vikings players gathered for a team meeting to begin training camp. The message, from coach Mike Zimmer, was an imperative not to miss the opportunity in front of them.
"Act professional, work really hard and work together and maybe the biggest thing, is let's not fall short of what we can do," Zimmer said Tuesday morning. "Whatever our level of ability is and intelligence and hard work, whatever that is, let's make sure we at least fulfill that part, if not do more."

The months-long flirtation of Aaron Rodgers potentially playing for the Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, or nowhere is deceased.
Rodgers – for some reason – orchestrated almost 90 days of drama pertaining to his 2021 whereabouts, a saga of Brett Favrian proportions. Now, Rodgers is back in Green Bay with boots on the ground. He’ll be the QB1 of the Packers for a 14
th season.
When the tarot cards suggested Rodgers was done in Wisconsin, the 2021 stakes for the Minnesota Vikings changed. Rodgers
out of the way would mandate that Vikings skipper, Mike Zimmer, win an NFC North crown to continue beyond this season. After all, the signal-callers within the division would formulate a ho-hum outlook: Andy Dalton, Jordan Love, and Jared Goff.

EAGAN, Minn. — Newly installed purple bleachers and two hospitality tents overlooking lush practice fields are in place.
So are Vikings veterans who reported Tuesday for
… and protocols.
As fan activity elements were being placed at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman and Head Coach Mike Zimmer spoke to media members Tuesday to kick off the fourth training camp at the venue and 61st season in team history.
There was excitement in their voices for the opportunity to begin again with restored optimism, as well as a hint of wanting to see how unknowns unfold. There was a gratitude for being able to hold the Vikings voluntary offseason programs, which featured a high degree of player participation this spring, and a mandatory minicamp in June.
