Pandemic-inflicted lockdown has brought out the best in some musicians. Keyton is no exception, coming back with a string of new releases, delivering a much-needed positive pop rock energy to the world.
Huntsville, AL (PRUnderground) December 18th, 2020 2020 has been a challenging year for many, and musicians have certainly not been an exception. Keyton, seasoned emo artist from Huntsville, Alabama, used the time to build. On the scene since 2005 and having multiple tours and music releases under his belt, Keyton hasn’t released any music on his own since 2017. Now that’s behind him, as he’s using the time in isolation as an opportunity to record a series of new singles. Keyton recently gave the exciting news he will release one new song a week for all of December, giving notice that he is back in a big way. His new work is already winning music blog praise, ranging from bittersweet acoustic guitar ballads to melodic pop rock.
My Chemical Romance – “Famous Last Words”
The last song on
The Black Parade leaves the listener with a sense of hope. There’s hope for the Patient’s storyline within the album and more when it comes to the band’s ability to persevere in general. It’s a track best played loudly to celebrate the possibilities of life.
Lyrics: “I am not afraid to keep on living/I am not afraid to walk this world alone/Honey, if you stay, I’ll be forgiven/Nothing you can say can stop me going home”
Dashboard Confessional – “Hands Down”
This
Dashboard Confessional track is the emo love song that puts words to the overwhelming feeling of young love. The lyrics make you feel hopeful and excited about the possibilities of true love. But they keep it true to the genre by putting a dark spin on it.
