Western Australia coronovirus update as at 16 July 2021

WA Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight. The State’s total remains at 1036. The outbreak in Perth northern suburbs has been declared over with all cases producing negative COVID-19 test results and completing mandatory home quarantine. All 55 casual contacts identified in Geraldton and linked to the seafarer’s case have received a negative COVID-19 test result. Additional testing for these contacts is currently being conducted over the coming days. WA Health is continuing to monitor six active COVID-19 cases: five are in hotel quarantine and one remains in a stable condition in a Perth hospital. To date, 1021 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

WA Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight. The State’s total remains at 1036. WA Health is now monitoring seven active COVID-19 cases. One of these cases is linked to the Perth northern suburbs cluster, four are in hotel quarantine and two are in a stable condition in Perth hospitals. All 55 casual contacts identified in Geraldton and linked to the seafarer’s case, have received a negative COVID-19 test result. Additional testing for these contacts is currently being conducted over the coming days. To date, 1020 people have recovered from the virus in WA. Testing clinics Yesterday, 917 people were swabbed at State-run clinics.

WA Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight. The State’s total remains at 1036. WA Health is now monitoring nine active COVID-19 cases. Three of these cases are linked to the Perth northern suburbs cluster, four are in hotel quarantine and two are in a stable condition in Perth hospitals. The one close contact, who remains in quarantine, and 55 casual contacts identified in Geraldton and linked to the seafarer’s case, have all now received a negative COVID-19 test result. Additional testing for these contacts will be conducted over the following days. To date, 1018 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

Western Australia coronovirus update as at 11 July 2021

WA Health has reported two new cases of COVID-19 overnight. The State’s total is now 1035. The new cases are a woman in her 30s who has recently returned from overseas and a 9-year-old who is a known, close contact of a previously confirmed case. Both are in hotel quarantine. WA Health is now monitoring 12 active COVID-19 cases. Five of these cases linked to the Perth northern suburbs cluster, six to hotel quarantine, and one, the seafarer transferred from the MV Emerald Indah. Two of these cases are now in Perth hospitals. A man in his 30’s was transferred from hotel quarantine to Royal Perth Hospital yesterday where he is in a stable condition.
