(Matt McCarthy/Daily News photo) IRON MOUNTAIN Dickinson County on Monday gave ownership of the senior center at Crystal Lake to the Senior Citizens Council of Dickinson County, nearly 10 months after starting the process. The council, which had previously leased the center, will pay a token $1 for the building and property. “Amen,” was the comment of County Board Chairman Henry Wender after a vote to complete the sale.

(Submitted photo by John deBidart) IRON MOUNTAIN Two people were treated for smoke inhalation after a house fire early Tuesday morning on the 400 block of Vulcan Street in Iron Mountain. A crew sent about 1:44 a.m. found the single-story residence engulfed in smoke, according to a news release from the Iron Mountain Fire Department. The residents were outside when firefighters arrived and were taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for smoke inhalation.
