Milford Man Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges

Milford, IA (KICD)– A Milford man has been charged in connection to sexual assault investigation from last month.
The Milford Police Department was originally contacted in early April for a sexual assault in town which opened the investigation and led to additional victims coming forward.
That investigation concluded Thursday afternoon when 22-year-old Rylan Harbst was taken into custody on warrants charging with with three felony counts of third degree sexual abuse, one count of indecent contact with a child and two counts of supplying alcohol to a minor.
Supervisors Give Okay to Restructure Dickinson County Attorney’s Office

Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– The Dickinson County Attorney’s Office will be undergoing some restructuring after getting approval from the Board of Supervisors Tuesday morning.
County Attorney Amy Zenor told the board the changes would involve eliminating a fairly new position to allow funding to go towards more help in working criminal cases.
Zenor says the current layout with two attorneys is not nearly enough to handle the current workload coming into the courthouse.
The idea behind the investigator position was to help law enforcement and finish looking into any cases that had not been completed, but Zenor says right now there is a greater need for prosecutors with Dickinson County having as many as one thousand criminal cases pending.

LAKE PARK, Iowa – An investigation is underway into a homicide in northwest Iowa.
The Lake Park Police Department says it got a 911 call around 11:30 am Tuesday about a possible murder in the 100 block of Maple Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene to find a dead woman inside a home. Lake Park police, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, the Dickinson County Attorney’s Office, and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are treating this death as a homicide.

According to Iowa s Division of Criminal Investigation, at about 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday police in Lake Park, Iowa responded to a reported homicide in the 100 block of Maple Avenue.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide by the Lake Park Police Department, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Dickinson County Attorney’s Office.
