Authorities Investigating Lake Park Homicide

Lake Park, IA (KICD) An investigation is underway into what authorities are calling a homicide in Lake Park.
The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations says authorities received the call at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday and responded to 104 Maple Avenue in Lake Park. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased female inside of the residence.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and no further details are being released at the moment. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lake Park Police Department at 712-336-2525 or the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office at 712-336-2793.

IRON MOUNTAIN –Since 2017, First National Bank & Trust’s Project Teddy Bear program has donated new stuffed toys to local emergency responders, crisis centers, children’s organizations and medical facilities.
SCOTTVILLE â The Scottville Police Department, West Shore Community College and Mason County Central Schools finally have their shared school resource officer.
Officer Steve Case was introduced by Police Chief Matt Murphy during Mondayâs meeting of the city commission.
Now in training, Case will fill a role thatâs been in the works for quite some time. The position is the result of a three-way agreement between the City of Scottville, the college and the MCC school district.
Once trained, Case will provide law enforcement services at WSCCâs Victory Township campus, as well as within the City of Scottville and at MCC, as part of a contract between the city and both schools.
