Prosecutor Michelle Sibert announces bid for Cumberland County judge Updated Feb 23, 2021; Michelle Sibert, one of Cumberland County’s top prosecutors, has announced her bid for a seat on the county court. The South Middleton Township Republican is the county’s first assistant district attorney. She has worked in that office since 1999 and has focused on prosecuting child molestation cases and advocating for the rights of crime victims. “I am running for judge because I have witnessed how crime has impacted families and individuals. While the district attorney and the victim advocate have a positive influence over a victim and his/her family, ultimately justice is felt in the court’s sentence and in how the victim is treated in the courtroom,” Sibert said.

(Provided) The Domestic Violence Intervention of Lebanon County (DVI) Board of Directors has appointed LeAnne Burchik and Mike Ritter to the positions of Executive Director and Deputy Director, respectively. The DVI is a nonprofit organization that provides free services to victims of domestic violence, including counseling, emergency shelter, and a 24-hour hotline. The organization also offers public education presentations and programs for schools. Burchik will succeed eight-year Executive Director Jennifer Snyder in the position. Burchik holds a J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law and a B.A. in English from California University of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and is a member of the Lebanon County Bar Association.
