Addressing the participants, the Director Agriculture Jammu discussed the modalities for digitization of the various services which the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare is going to introduce under Digital India Programme. He informed that initially 12 services covering three major activities including Seed, Fertilizers and Insecticides have been identified for this purpose. These services will include registration of Seed/ Fertilizers/Insecticides Dealers at manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer level as well as renewal of license and conducting inspections.
The Director Agriculture underscored that this initiative is the component of good governance and will facilitate the ease of doing business for all stakeholders with in fixed time lines. He instructed the concerned officers to work in mission mode to finalize the SoPs for these e- services and prepare a fool proof plan for conductance of inspections and uploading of results within stipulated time frame.
