DRUMMONDS, Tenn. Clean-up efforts in Tipton County are continuing after an EF-1 tornado ripped through parts of it Sunday evening. No one was reported injured, but many yards and homes had some damage.
George Willis never expected the extensive damage the storm would cause to his property. The shock set in quickly after it happened. A real train wreck, Willis said.
His family s yard became unrecognizable in a matter of seconds. One of his cars was masked by a large tree, branches and tree limbs barricaded the door of their storm shelter, and the pool was filled with debris.

DRUMMONDS, Tenn. A suspected tornado ripped through Drummonds Sunday evening leaving several homes and yards damaged.
Tipton County Emergency Services said no injuries have been reported.
Drummonds resident George Willis had extensive damage on his property with a massive tree that had fallen on a car smashing it. He said he is thankful for his neighbors in this time of need. I’m just blessed nobody was hurt, Willis said. As you can see these good ole boys and anybody who owns a chainsaw in Tipton County came out, so that’s why I love living in Tipton County.
NWS to survey tornado damage in Tipton County

TIPTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WMC) - Crews from the National Weather Service will survey tornado damage left behind after Sundayâs storms to figure out how strong they were.
Sunday evening there was a mobile command center set up by first responders in the area of the Drummonds community.
First responders said the tornado went east and impacted Mumford and Gilt Edge. Chief Shannon Beasley with the Tipton County Sheriffâs Office talked about residents cleaning up the debris left in the tornadoâs wake.
