Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for December 22nd, 2020. In today’s article, we take a look at the several new games that hit the eShop today. Some interesting ones, to be sure. There’s also a massive list of new sales to look at, which feels impossible given how many games were already on sale. But no, life finds a way. That’s about all that’s going on today, so we’re going to stick to the basics. Such is the holiday season, friends. Let’s scope it out!

A decade is a long time to wait for a sequel, but
Super Meat Boy Forever is almost here after some delays and hiccups.
I wanted to like the first Meat Boy game but it just wasn’t for me. However, I know some folks who dug the hell out of that quirky platformer and they are very excited for the follow-up. I’m just back to overthinking the concept of a small boy made of meat and how that would work. What would that smell like after a decade?

Christmas: It s not the giving, it s not the getting, it s the loving. there, I said it, now get me out of here.
As someone whose favorite Christmas special is the first two thirds of the Grinch (before the heel turn), I m probably not the best person to offer holiday wishes, especially this year. But whatever you re doing this week, do it safely.
This week had a grenade lobbed into it last Tuesday when Super Meat Boy Forever was revealed to be hitting Switch on Wednesday, because nothing celebrates the holidays like endless slaughtering of meat. Double Dragon Neon will be listed as soon as we have a price for it, while Override 2 adds ULTRAMAN to the brawling lineup And of course, the six BIT.TRIP games are getting dumped all at once on Friday, and buying even one of them at full price gives you 60% off the remainder.
Double Dragon Neon Switch Port Is Ready to Brawl This Month
A radical beat’em up is coming back. WayForward announced a
Double Dragon Neon Switch port by just dropping a new trailer on us. The video confirms that the bright, colorful, retro-inspired game will appear on the eShop on December 21, 2020.
The new
Double Dragon Neon video doesn’t bring up any new features. Instead, it acts as a reminder of what the game is. Jimmy and Billy Lee are once again attempting to save Marian again. This time, Skullmageddon and the Shadow Warriors kidnapped her. If it pulls from the original release, then people will be able to go it alone or team up with another person either offline or online to save the day. If you do play with someone else, you can share your health with your partner or revive them if they’re defeated during a stage.
