Disney said it is making adjustments with the support of local health and government officials as guidance from health experts continues to evolve. Since reopening, we have considered guidance from public health authorities, government agencies, and our own team of health and safety experts as we assess and update health and safety measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Disney posted on its website. We will continue to follow the guidance of health and safety leaders going forward and most importantly encourage people to get vac
The time has come for you to finally contemplate a trip to the Mouse House, and frankly, there’s never been a better time to plan. Disney World has always provided a grand escape from reality, with its cartoon character-shaped ice cream bars, towering fake mountains, and restaurants with ’50s kitchenettes where waiters berate you for putting elbows on the table. “realistic, working, retractable lightsaber prototype” and yesterday we finally got a sneak peek.
In a 14-second teaser for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, a Disney cast member dressed as Rey, demonstrates what appears to be a real lightsaber. As Rey turns, the blade rises smoothly from the hilt accompanied by the iconic lightsaber sound.
The announcement doesn’t give us any details on how the retractable lightsabers actually work, but internet sleuths have managed to piece together a rough idea based on a patent filing.
Walt Disney World Resort s Galactic Starcruiser hotel is set to open in Orlando in 2022.
