If you’re planning to travel to one of the Disney Parks & Resorts around the world, here’s what you’ll need to know and expect if you want to visit during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The basics
After being closed for more than a year, Disneyland Resort in California plans to reopen on April 30 with limited capacity at Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park. Only California residents may visit the parks until further notice.
Those wanting to visit will need to purchase tickets in advance via a new reservation system. As of April 22, the Disneyland park has few openings left for May, though California Adventure is still available to book.

Disneyland reopens to the public two weeks from today, and
Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) is reporting its online tickets and reservation website has been inundated with sales requests.
What Happened: The Anaheim, California-based theme park and resort has been closed since the COVID-19 pandemic took root in March 2020. While Florida’s state government allowed for the reopening of Orlando-based Disney World last July, California’s theme parks have been shuttered for more than a year.
Tickets for the reopened Disneyland are being handled through the company’s DisneyParks.com website, and the company initially reported that online waiting time for consumers lasted more than an hour as of Friday morning, it took 20 minutes to be able to proceed to the sales function of the site.
It’s been almost a full year since
Disneylandclosed last year at the start of the coronavirus pandemic. But now that the COVID-19 vaccine is being distributed far and wide, it’s finally time for the happiest place on Earth to lift people’s spirits by reopening for the spring.
