Disney Channel Renews Secrets of Sulphur Springs for Season 2

Secrets of Sulphur Springs proved that even young audiences are interested in creepy and mysterious storylines, as the network has confirmed that it has renewed the program for a second season. The overall mystery of the first season may have been answered, but it sounds as though there are plenty more secrets to uncover, which will be explored in the sophomore season. No details have been revealed about when the new season would head into production or debut on the Disney Channel, with the first season now available on both Disney+ and DisneyNow.

Ahead of the big premiere, Disney Channel is helping fans catch up on all that went down between Nini (Olivia Rodrigo), Ricky (Joshua Bassett), Gina (Sofia Wylie), E.J. (Matt Cornett) and the rest of the gang. For one night only on Saturday, May 8, Disney Channel will be airing a marathon of season one.
The evening will also feature sneak peeks of season two, a new musical number performed by Rodrigo and Bassett, special messages from and fun facts about the cast, fan favorite Buspool Karaoke music videos and much more.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” on May 8th. The marathon starts at 5:00 p.m. EDT/PDT, ahead of the show’s Season 2 premiere on Disney+ on May 14th.
In the announcement, Disney Channel explained that the one-time-only High School Musical Marathon will also feature sneak peeks of Season 2, as well as a new musical number performed by Nini and Ricky, and special messages and facts about the cast. Fans can also look for more “Buspool Karaoke” music videos and other surprises during the marathon.

HSMTMTS will be marathoning its entire 10-episode first season on Saturday, May 8 on Disney Channel, the network that introduced the world to the original
High School Musical franchise. The one-time-only marathon, which kicks off at 5 p.m. ET/PT, will be ad-free.
Another enticing reason to tune in are the early season 2 surprises that will pop up throughout the five-hour marathon, including sneak peeks at scenes from the new season and a musical duet performed by Olivia Rodrigo s Nini and Joshua Bassett s Ricky.

Ayo Davis, executive VP of creative development and strategy at Disney Branded Television, is set to take part in the TV Kids Summer Festival.
