Avengers Campus set to open June 4 at Disneyland Resort

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Super hero fans get ready to experience a new world dedicated to the Avengers!
The Disneyland Resort announced Thursday that Avengers Campus will officially open June 4, 2021 inside Disney California Adventure Park.
The new land is dedicated to discovering, recruiting and training the next generation of Super Heroes, according to Disney.
Avengers Campus will feature an all new ride, restaurants and shops.
The new Avengers ride is known as ‘WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure,’ it is the first Disney attraction to feature Spider Man. The ride invites people to put their web-slinging skills to the test and experience what it’s like to have powers alongside Spider-Man.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) -A new Avengers-themed area featuring a Spider-Man ride, roaming superheroes and a shawarma food cart will open at Walt Disney Co s Disneyland Resort in California on June 4, the head of the company s parks division said on Thursday.
The debut will come weeks after the resort in Anaheim, about 35 miles southeast of Los Angeles, begins welcoming back guests for the first time in a year starting on April 30.
Disneyland, the original Disney theme park, and neighboring California Adventure were closed in March 2020 to help prevent spread of the novel coronavirus. The shutdown thwarted plans to open the Avengers Campus in July 2020.

Thwarted, like many plans by the pandemic, was the opening of the Marvel superhero-themed Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, US. But now comes news that the land, which will include a family-focused interactive Spider-Man ride, is set to launch on June 4. The date was unveiled Thursday on a web conference hosted by Josh D Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, experiences and products, and featured Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige. Discussing the land with Feige, D Amaro joked that the opening date was chosen because it s close to Feige s June 2 birthday. Disneyland Resort is set to reopen its two theme parks on April 30, with tickets going on sale to the public at large on April 15. A ticket, as well as an advance reservation, will be required to visit Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure.
