The Avengers set to land at Disneyland Resort in June 1 minute read
Los Angeles, US, Apr 8 (efe-epa).- An “Avengers Campus” will open at California’s Disneyland Resort on June 4, opening up a new land for Marvel superheroes such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Captain Marvel and Dr. Strange.
Avengers Campus was scheduled to open in July 2020, but the pandemic forced the facilities to close for more than a year and plans for Marvel characters were suspended until further notice.
The new attraction will finally be inaugurated in June as part of the strategy to reopen the complex on Apr. 30, Disneyland said Thursday in a statement.

The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., will officially open the doors to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure on June 4.
The much-awaited area featuring characters from the Marvel universe was originally set to open last July, but it was delayed by the park s closure due to the pandemic.
Josh D Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, announced the new opening date Thursday afternoon during a virtual event alongside Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
Avengers Campus is themed to the popular Marvel characters. The story of the land surrounds Tony Stark, a founding member of the Avengers and the alter ego of Iron Man, who offered up the site as a place to train the next generation of superheroes. The land itself represents one of Stark Industries complexes.
Disneyland, the original Disney theme park, and neighbouring California Adventure were closed in March 2020 to help prevent spread of the novel coronavirus. The shutdown thwarted plans to open the Avengers Campus in July 2020.
Josh D Amaro, chairman of Disney parks, experiences and products, announced the new opening date as he offered a glimpse of the Avengers attractions during a pre-taped video shown to reporters.
In a new Spider-Man ride called Web Slingers, which combines physical and virtual environments, guests will team with Spidey to capture out-of-control Spider-Bots. You will swear Peter Parker s right there, said Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, referring to Spider-Man s alter ego.
Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will welcome guests back on April 30 with restricted capacity and new rules. Those with preexisting theme park tickets can take a peek at the reservation calendar on Friday ahead of new ticket bookings, according to a blog post to Disney’s Park blog. Starting Friday, anyone with an active theme park ticket can check available days to reserve via the Disneyland Parks website. The theme park reservation system will launch on April 12 for guests with existing valid theme park tickets to start booking. Disneyland is also extending expiration dates of many tickets as a result of the closure, too.
