The Anaheim, Calif. theme park and resort will start out with limited capacity, per state guidelines. Rides such as the new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the Incredicoaster and Peter Pan’s Flight will all reopen, the company announced in a blog post, and the new Fantasyland – Snow White’s Enchanted Wish attraction will also open for the first time. The newly developed Avengers Campus is not yet open.
Visitors will be required to use a new theme park reservation system to enter in addition to tickets, and only California residents are currently allowed to visit the parks.

The Disneyland Resort announced today that it will reopen its Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme parks on April 30. In addition, the Grand Californian Hotel will reopen the day before, April 29. The day all of us have long been waiting for is almost here, Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said. We’re excited to have more than 10,000 cast members returning to work as we get ready to welcome our guests back to this happy place.
While the parks will return on the 30th, Disneyland said that it will preview the parks in the days leading up to the reopening for cast members and members of the local community.

After over a full year of closure, Disneyland will return on April 30th, 2021!
Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced the reopening date today on CNBC. He had indicated that a date would be announced soon at a recent shareholder meeting.
In accordance with state guidelines, theme parks will be able to operate at between 15% and 35% capacity depending on COVID rates and other factors in the area.
Disney Parks Blog shared From surprise appearances along Main Street, U.S.A., and Pixar Pier to playful interactions, characters from favorite Disney stories will entertain and delight. Beloved characters will pop up in new ways and sometimes in unexpected places as they remain mindful of physical distancing. Certain experiences that draw large group gatherings – such as parades and nighttime spectaculars – will return at a later date.
