So if you have plans to head to the park starting tomorrow make sure you make up anytime you are indoors. The updated mask mandate news comes as COVID-19 cases are skyrocketing in parts of the country due to the highly contagious Delta variant. Los Angeles itself has put an indoor mask mandate back in place, and while Orange County has yet to do so overall, Disneyland is taking precautions. Beginning TOMORROW, July 30th, face coverings are required for all guests (ages 2 and up) while indoors, including on many attractions and in enclosed transportation vehicles like shuttles and buses, regardless of vaccination status.

The news comes as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revises its own mask guidelines, after recently learning the Delta variant strain of the coronavirus could still be transmitted by people who’d received the COVID-19 vaccine. Although the vaccine may offer protection against COVID-19 hospitalization and death, CDC found vaccinated individuals still carried high loads of the virus and could spread it to others. In Orange County, the public health threat that poses to the more than 1.1 million residents who have not received even one dose of the vaccine looms large.
