Breaking News | 90% Of Cult-Related Deaths Not Documented – Anambra CP

Owolabi made the disclosure during a Peace/Security Summit, organised by National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), in collaboration with the state Police Command at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka , on Wednesday. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the summit had, as its theme: ‘Importance of Safe Society and the Roles of Nigerian Students and Youths in the Security of our Campuses’. Owolabi attributed the non-documentation of most of the cult-related deaths to the fact that most parents and guardians of the deceased would not want such cases investigated.

Share Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Chris Owolabi, has warned the youths, especially students, to desist from any form of evil practices that could compromise their bright future, noting that about 90 percent of cult-related deaths in Nigeria had no documentation. Owolabi informed that most parents/guardians of those students that involved in cult practices and were killed in the process did not want such cases investigated due to their natures and the accompanying shame. The Anambra Police boss gave the hint at a Peace/Security Summit, organized by the National Association of Nigeria Student NANS, in collaboration with the Anambra State Police Command at the University Auditorium, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, on Tuesday.
