The remains of a 100-level undergraduate of the Plateau State University, Emmanuel Israel, who died during a protest against insecurity in the institution were buried on Saturday amid tears and tributes in the Mangu Local Government Area of the state.
The burial, which took place in the Mangul community around 12pm, was attended by grieving students, relatives and staff of the university including well-wishers who paid their last respects.
The student was confirmed dead a few hours after he fell off a moving vehicle during the protest on Tuesday, April 13.
He was said to be the class representatives of the Mathematics Department and died from the head injuries he sustained after the fall.
