Missing since 1995, FBI adds Fond du Lac County man to page

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. - James Ruland was last seen in North Fond du Lac on Oct. 26, 1995.
Now, more than a quarter-century later, the FBI has added him to its missing persons page.
The investigation into Ruland s disappearance continues, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff s Office said. As part of the FBI s process, a missing person alert was sent to law enforcement agencies throughout the U.S.
Authorities said the 40-year-old was last seen hitchhiking in North Fond du Lac and was reported missing nine days later. On Nov. 14, 1994, his station wagon was recovered from a truck stop with the kets in the ignition and his possessions in the cargo area.

According to a news release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Juneau Police Department, the incidents that led to the above charges began on Saturday evening, Jan. 30.
Officials say shortly after 8 p.m., the Juneau Police Department initiated a pursuit of an SUV traveling westbound on County W. That pursuit was joined by Dodge County Sheriff’s Office deputies. BEAVER DAM, Wis. Law enforcement officials were able to peacefully resolve an hours-long standoff early Sunday morning after a vehicle chase that led officers throughout Dodge county.
Around 8:15 p.m. Saturday officers with the Juneau Police Department started chasing a 2002 Chevrolet Envoy that was traveling westbound on County Highway W. Deputies with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office joined in on the pursuit a short time later.
During the chase, the Envoy left the roadway and hit a squad car when it re-entered the highway.
As the vehicle continued on County Highway W toward Beaver Dam, the driver crashed into a Juneau Police Department squad car and a Dodge County Sheriff’s Office squad car, which caused disabling damage to both of law enforcement vehicles.
