Ugg boots trademark battle back in US courts

An Australian Ugg boot-maker has renewed his David versus Goliath legal battle against a multi-billion US footwear company. Overnight a US federal court heard an appeal by Sydney businessman Eddie Oygur and his company Australian Leather about the validity of Deckers Outdoor Corporation s UGG trademark. The three judges of the appeal court decided to reserve their judgment, acknowledging that Mr Oygur s case in all likelihood would become a test case.
