ARLINGTON, Texas - U.S. Rep. Ron Wright, R-Arlington, has tested positive for the coronavirus, he said in a statement Thursday afternoon.
Wright, 67, who was hospitalized in September due to complications from cancer treatment, said in a statement that he’s been in quarantine since Friday and will continue to quarantine until my doctors and medical professionals give me the okay to return to work.

Three Texans are headed to the White House.
President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris announced the appointments Tuesday of three Democratic operatives with Texas roots: Emmy Ruiz, Cristóbal J. Alex and Adrian Saenz. All will serve in high-profile roles in the Biden administration.
Ruiz, an Austin-based political consultant, is headed to the White House to serve as Biden’s director of political strategy and outreach.
