By using the iSimulate REALITi simulator in lab sessions, instructor Tim Scalley can program various situations for students to address. The simulator also can mimic the cardiac monitors of area EMS services for future paramedics to train on systems they will use at work. “There is a lot going on and a lot to remember,” said paramedic student Anthony Monaco, who works for the Stephenville Fire Department as a firefighter and an emergency medical technician.

TSTC Precision Machining Technology program training students to fill area jobs Daily Light report RED OAK Texas State Technical College’s Precision Machining Technology program teaches students the skills they need to walk into any company that hires precision machinists and begin work. “If it’s man-made, we (machinists) made some or all of it in the process of its production,” said Darren Block, statewide lead instructor for TSTC’s Precision Machining Technology program. Texas had more than 28,500 machinists in May 2019 making an annual mean wage of $46,420, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. TSTC’s Precision Machining Technology program teaches students the skills to operate grinders, metal lathes and milling machines. Students work on both manual and computer numerical controlled machines and design parts using SolidWorks.

And as it has become the family mantra, To God be the Glory. Cecil was born on June 23 rd, 1953 in Falfurrias, Texas to parents Ealey Eugene Cox and Dovie Lee Renfro. He served honorably in the United States Army with the 82 nd Airborne from 1972-1975. He worked in construction for many years. In 1983, Cecil was called into the Ministry, where he spent the rest of his life loving, helping, teaching and guiding all that he could. He served as Pastor to two churches and served in many roles for the Southwest Texas Pentecostal Church of God district.
