Texas Parks and Wildlife Now Accepting Summer Internship Applications
AUSTIN – The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is now taking applications for summer internships in all divisions, including Law Enforcement, Wildlife, State Parks, Infrastructure, Communications, Coastal Fisheries, and Inland Fisheries.
“For university students who want to explore a conservation-related career, our summer internship program can be a great start,” said Cayley Birchfield, TPWD recruiter. “We provide college students a realistic view of what a career with Texas Parks and Wildlife really entails. Student interns are given the opportunity to gain practical experience in hands-on settings.”

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas Texas Game Wardens rescued an elderly man on Padre Island National Seashore who had an active Silver Alert out of Texarkana, Arkansas.
Game Wardens responded to calls of an elderly man in need of medical attention on Padre Island National Seashore
Game Wardens responded by boat to reach the elderly man. Texas Game Wardens say the family was contacted and grateful he was found.

PORT ARANSAS, Texas â The Texas State Aquarium, Amos Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) at UT Marine Science Institute, and Texas Sealife Center combined took in nearly 3,000 total cold-stunned turtles last week. All three organizations started releasing turtles into the Gulf of Mexico Monday.
The Texas State Aquarium teamed up with the U.S. Coast Guard and Texas Parks & Wildlife. The goal Monday was to get the biggest turtles back out into the water.
âWe chose the largest turtles, and weâre going to be releasing them with the Coast Guard and the Texas Game Wardens today,â said Melanie Kudra, the Education engagement specialist with the Texas State Aquarium.
