Elevated levels of E. coli in Fish Creek and Flat Creek are leading Teton County s health officials to warn swimmers and float-tubers of potentially harmful bacteria in the waters.Â
Signs will be posted this week on popular sections of the creeks to warn recreational users of the elevated levels of Escherichia coli, according to a press release from Teton County Public Health Response Coordinator Rachael Wheeler on Tuesday.Â
On Fish Creek, signage will be posted near put-in locations used by float-tubers near Hunt Bridge and on the U.S. Forest Service property directly upstream from Hunt Bridge. On Flat Creek, the signage will be posted near the Hay Barn Bridge on the South Park Feedgrounds and at the swimming hole at the confluence of Flat Creek and the Snake River at Von Gontardâs Landing.

Teton County, Wyo. mask order in effect June 1 to June 11 for public, private K-12 schools

JACKSON, Wyo. (KIFI) – Wyoming statewide Health Order #1, which requires masks in public and private K-12 schools, is set to expire on May 31, 2021.
Most schools in Teton County, Wyo. are in session through June 11, 2021, and since many students in Teton County have not had the opportunity to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the Teton District Health Officer has put into place Public Health Order #21-4.
This public health order will require students, teachers, school staff and visitors in public and private K-12 schools to wear face coverings from June 1, 2021 through June 11, 2021.
