DETROIT – Welcome to Saturday and your Easter holiday weekend, Motown.
Temperatures continue to rise gradually as clouds break apart and depart. It will be chilly but not as cold tonight. More sunshine and even higher temperatures are on the way for Easter Sunday. Mild to warm weather continues next week.
Saturday afternoon will be partly to mostly sunny and milder. Afternoon temperatures reach the low 60s. It will be a great day to get the car washed or head to the park or both. Great baseball weather for the Detroit Tigers 1 p.m. game at Comerica Park against Cleveland. Remember to mask up before attending.

DETROIT – Welcome to Saturday night, Motown.
We “Spring Forward” one hour overnight Saturday as it becomes colder under fair skies. Sunday will be chilly with more sunshine but remember, it’s still winter. Mother Nature will throw a wintry mix our way early next week.
We move our clocks forward one hour before going to bed Saturday night for the start of Daylight Saving Time. Also, it is important to change all batteries in all alarms, including smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.

DETROIT – Welcome to Saturday evening, Motown.
The countdown to spring is on while it definitely feels like late-winter. Temperatures dip this evening, then nose dive overnight. We have another sight of, at least, two planets in Sunday’s pre-dawn sky. Tomorrow will be chilly. Higher temps are on the way next week. Cannot wait for new, milder season to begin in two weeks at 5:37 a.m., Saturday, with the vernal equinox.
Saturday afternoon will be mostly sunny and chilly. In women’s college basketball, MSU hosts Wisconsin at 2 p.m., and Michigan hosts Northwestern at 3 p.m. Highs will be in the low 40s in the Motor City area and Southern Lower Michigan.
