Annual MLK Day Virtual Rally to Honor Peace and Social Justice Legacy of Human Rights Leader
This year’s 18th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration comes at a time of the worst public health crisis in more than a century.
At present we are facing the threat of yet another economic downturn.
Concurrently, there are rising tensions between the United States and other countries around the world including China, Russia, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, Zimbabwe, among others. A U.S.-led war anywhere in the world would prove catastrophic to the majority of people inside the country and internationally.

He opened an investigation into the FBI’s investigation of Russian election interference. His department sought to block Congress from enforcing White House subpoenas. He tried to have the DOJ defend Trump in a lawsuit accusing him of defamation for denying a rape allegation; had the DOJ won, the case would have been dismissed. But his most egregious offense this year: Amid Black Lives Matter protests, Barr personally ordered law enforcement to attack peaceful protesters in Lafayette Square to make way for Trump’s photo-op in front of a church.
At the the protest where the video was filmed, Detroit Will Breathe members were demanding the resignation of Detroit Police Chief James Craig, who, Bass tells
Billboard, has continuously failed the citizens of Detroit.and presides over a police department that is rife with corruption and violence. Detroit Will Breathe is also focused on defunding the police and having those funds rerouted into schools, health centers, parks and other public services.
It was Saunderson who had the idea to film the video for We All Move Together at an event where Detroit citizens were making history by literally moving together. For Bass, the project was an easy sell. The father of techno collabing with the movement for Black and Brown lives in Detroit immediately made sense to me, he says.
