Officials ID body found inside burned vehicle in Hawkins County

Officials said they have identified the man whose body was found inside a burned vehicle in Hawkins County on February 21. The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office said they have received confirmation that the body found inside a burned vehicle, from an incident reported on Repass Road in Mooresburg, is that of Clinton Lee Arnold, 31, of Morristown.  Deputies said that Arnold had recently been reported missing in Morristown.  The exact cause of death is undetermined pending full autopsy results, according to deputies.

Shooting at Tennessee High School leaves one dead, officer injured

UPDATE: APRIL 12 AT 6:10 P.M. KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - At approximately 3:15 p.m. Monday, the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) received report of an individual possibly armed with a gun at Austin-East Magnet High School. In a tweet from KPD, they said officers responded to the scene and located the individual inside a school restroom. Officers reportedly ordered the individual out of the restroom, but the individual refused to comply. KPD said officers entered the restroom and were met with gunfire. The subject, reportedly, fired shots, striking an officer. One officer returned fire, according to KPD. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene, and has been identified as a student, according to KPD.
