A pedestrian and a parked Denver Police Department (DPD) patrol car were struck in hit-and-runs on Saturday morning, and a suspect was in custody, according to police.
DPD received the call of the incidents about 8:40 a.m., a police spokesman said.
The parked patrol vehicle was hit at West 14th Avenue and Delaware Street, and officers sustained minor injuries, the spokesman said.
The pedestrian was hit at East 14th Avenue and North Broadway and sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, he said.
The vehicle did not stay on scene in either incident. It was unclear which happened first, the spokesman said.

Man poured camping fuel, set fires in aisles of Walmart, police say

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. A man faces arson charges after police said he poured camping fuel in several aisles of an Englewood Walmart store and then set fires, according to the Englewood Police Department (EPD).
Darius Harper, 43, is being held on charges of fourth-degree arson, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
Officers responded to the store at 601 Engelwood Pkwy. around 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 28.
According to an affidavit for Harper s arrest from EPD, Harper was seen on store security cameras taking a can of camp fuel off a shelf. He opened the lid and proceeded to walk up and down a minimum of five aisles pouring liquid on the ground, the affidavit says. He walked back down those aisles and lit them,

DENVER, Colorado A man has died after police said he was shot Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened near South Broadway and West Virginia Avenue, the Denver Police Department (DPD) said in a tweet just before 12:30 p.m.
That is near South Broadway and West Alameda Avenue.
The victim, later identified as 30-year-old Edgar Barreras, was brought to the hospital where he died on Wednesday, according to DPD.
Police have not released information about the circumstances leading up to the shooting or about any potential suspects.
