DENVER The decade-long process to reimagine, reconstruct and revitalize Denver s 16th Street Mall is moving forward to its final design and construction.
Denver s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) said a $149 million design/build contract with PCL Construction Services is now fully signed and executed following approval by Denver City Council on March 8.
Construction on the project to reimagine 16th Street Mall from Broadway to Market Street, which initially begin in 2010, is expected to start partially in the last quarter of 2021.
Construction should fully begin in mid-2022 at Market Street and move toward Broadway in phases before reaching completion in late 2024.

SNOW PLOWING
At 2:45 p.m. on March 15, the Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure confirmed that snowplow operations will continue today into Tuesday, with drivers on duty to address both the main streets and residential streets. As of 5 a.m. today, the city s extremely useful Plowtracker page showed approximately thirty residential and so-called big plows staged throughout the city, many of them already hard at work.

Residents are required to clear snow and ice from their sidewalks by the day after snow stops falling.
