ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) After a series of high-profile incidents, Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren wants the ability to fire Rochester Police officers immediately for cause, but she’ll need the state legislature to make changes to allow it.
“I have to have the ability to deal with problem people because they make it bad for the good people,” Warren told News10NBC.
She says body-worn camera video now gives her and all of us, clear evidence of how a police interaction is handled and if protocols are broken, she wants the ability to fire an officer immediately.
