Fifteen percent of the county s population is now fully vaccinated, which is 29,409 residents. The Illinois Department of Public Health also announced the state had reached a new seven-day high for the average number of vaccines delivered at 98,166 per day. Over 10% of the state s population is now fully vaccinated, which is about 1.3 million people. The state vaccinated 112,776 people on Wednesday, while the county gave out 2,030 vaccines. Sangamon County s seven-day average on vaccines given is 1,521.  Gov. JB Pritzker and IDPH also announced they were partnering with new hospitals to get vaccines to rural communities. The state will be providing 6,000 vaccines to nine critical-access hospitals throughout Illinois. The hospitals include Taylorville Memorial Hospital and Hillsboro Area Hospital.
