Derrell Draper in connection Friday s early morning slaying at the CenterPoint Intermodal Center in Elwood. Homicide victim Bobby Bigger of Shorewood and the murder defendant had just finished their shift at the Home Depot warehouse where they worked for a third-party vendor.

ELWOOD, IL A 38-year-old Joliet man had his bail set at $5 million in connection with Friday s homicide of a 30-year-old Shorewood man at the CenterPoint Intermodal Center in Elwood.
Derrell Draper was taken into custody by Elwood police and booked into the Will County Jail around 10:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with one count of first-degree murder.
On Sunday evening, Elwood Police Chief Fred Hayes told Patch that homicide victim Robert Bigger of Shorewood and Draper were coworkers at The Home Depot warehouse at CenterPoint and both men had just finished their shift and left work around 3 a.m.
