After cancelling the event last year due to COVID, it’s back this year with health and safety precautions in place.
The school will hold photos for the junior students and their dates from 1 to 2 pm, with the Grand March at 2 pm. The senior students and their dates will have Grand March at 3 pm, with photos following at 3:15 pm. Each student is receiving four tickets for spectators and all spectators must wear face masks. Both sessions of Grand March will be livestreamed on West Delaware’s Facebook page.
The dance will take place Saturday night from 8 to 11 pm at the Delaware County Fairgrounds Pavilion – and students and staff will need to wear a mask while inside the building.
The Delaware County Cattlemen’s Beef Banquet will be held Saturday, January 30th from 5:30 to 8 pm at the Delaware County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Manchester. This is drive-through only this year. Enter at the fairgrounds’ main gate and follow the signs. Everyone is encouraged to get tickets in advance – they cost $18 before January 25th and then $20 the week of the event. Serving 12-oz steak, baked potato, green beans, roll and dessert. They will also be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a ¼ of a beef – those can be purchased beforehand or that night (if they are still available).
