A Manchester pharmacy was among the first in the nation to administer the new one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine last week.
Brehme Drug offered the newest COVID-19 vaccine to about 100 residents during a special clinic at the Manchester Fire Station on Saturday. Owner and pharmacist Ashley Brehme says it’s a good feeling to get the shot in people’s arms so quickly.
In addition to those 100 shots, Brehme Drug has been able to vaccinate an additional 500 people with the Moderna vaccine over the past few months, with the priority going to their most vulnerable patients. Brehme says they’ve been able to vaccinate most of their patients ages 65 and older, so last Friday, they opened up a waiting list to the general public.

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) Police say a man was driving around and shooting at people Wednesday afternoon, setting off a vehicle chase involving multiple police agencies on roads in Delaware County and in Muncie.
Sgt. Coley McCutcheon, the public information officer for the Pendleton district of the state police, said in a tweet that the chase has ended and a suspect is in custody. State police will lead the investigation, which includes multiple crime scenes throughout Delaware County. Social media indicates some of the gunfire happened in and around Selma, a town of 800 people that’s east of Muncie.
Ice sculptures usually play a supporting role in the culinary arts, eliciting a few ooohs and ahhhs before eaters get down to the real work of devouring the contents of a buffet.
Greg Butauski, the owner of Rock on Ice in Sunbury, decided to put ice front and center in his Ice World, a drive-through experience this weekend at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.
He and his crew, as well as other sculptors from around the Midwest, have been crafting the sculptures since December, working with 60,000 pounds of ice.
Each night, 90 large sculptures will be on display, with nearly as many on reserve in case of melting.
