The deadline to enter Startup302 has been extended toFeb. 22. Applicants who submitted beforethe original deadline may revise their entries and resubmit by the new deadline.

Startup302 – open toscalable, high-growth startups witha tech or scientific focus – is offering more than $260,000in grant-based prizes funded by localpublic-and private-sector sponsors.Some prizes have geographic restrictions in that only Delaware-based companies may compete for them. But many of the prizes are open tocompanies based anywhere that have an interest in the Delaware ecosystem.

50 Best Hospitals honor for ChristianaCare
ChristianaCare earned Healthgrades 2021 America’s 50 Best Hospitals Award and is among the top one percent of more than 4,500 hospitals assessed nationwide for its consistent, year-over-year superior clinical performance.
It follows four consecutive years in which ChristianaCare was named among Healthgrades’ America’s 100 Best Hospitals.
ChristianaCare’s Christiana Hospital and Wilmington Hospital are the only hospitals in Delaware to receive America’s 50 Best Hospitals in 2021.

The Council on Development Finance (CDF) has approved funding for three projects – two companies expanding in Wilmington and a company expanding in Bear – presented by Delaware Property Partnership (DPP) and its respective partners.
Expanding its operations in Wilmington is Eastern Highway Specialists, and expanding to Wilmington from New Jersey is Advantage Building Supply. Coming to Bear with its expansion is AWSM Solutions Delaware.
Eastern Highway Specialists began working with DPP on its site search in 2018. The 17-year-old highway and bridge construction company works projects throughout the region and generates approximately $14 million in annual revenue. Currently leasing space on Church Street in Wilmington, the company has outgrown its location and has purchased a 4-acre brownfield site at 3604 Downing Drive in Northeast Wilmington. Eastern Highway Specialists is investing nearly $4 million into the Downing Drive property and plans to build a 21,000-square-foot shop a
