The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition’s 23rd Annual Breast Cancer Update will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10, via Zoom.
The breast cancer update will again be offered as an educational conference free to the public, but advance registration is required.
A panel of leading medical breast cancer experts will discuss the latest developments in treatment and care for breast cancer patients, survivors and their families, physicians, nurses, students and allied health professionals. Nationally renowned speakers in the breast cancer field will educate the community about the innovative research, treatment, and programs available in Delaware.

The Freeman Stage, a program of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation, announced one of its volunteers, Maureen Griffith, has been selected to receive the Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Service Award as an Emerging Volunteer Leader.
The formal announcement of the 2020 honorees was made during a Facebook Live broadcast Dec. 11. Recipients will be honored during a virtual awards ceremony at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 18.
As a member of The Freeman Stage volunteer corps, Griffith has spent six years on the Volunteer Advisory Committee, a peer-appointed leadership group whose members are both advocates and liaisons between the corps and staff. She serves as the committee’s secretary. Griffith also sits on the volunteer newsletter subcommittee where she contributes articles to the bimonthly publication.

Certificates of attendance documenting 4 contact hours and 4 continuing education units will be available to nurses, social workers and other healthcare professionals.
