Deloitte Romania Commercial Real Estate Survey 2021. Additionally, the survey highlights that contract terms meant to secure rent payment will make a difference in a post-pandemic scenario, as 64% of the respondents mentioned rent adjustments and incentives as the second most important element for tenants and end users.

McIntosh: Releasing talent
Eight graduate solicitor apprentices have started work at national insurance practice Keoghs, one of the first law firms to offer this approach.
David McIntosh, Keoghs’ people development manager, said the new route would open the profession to those “excluded for financial reasons”, in particular by the cost of the legal practice course (LPC).
Mr McIntosh said there would be a “blended approach” to learning, with apprentices spending a day a week in the classroom at the University of Law (ULaw) over a period of up to 30 months.

The task force will combine the firm’s civil litigation and competition law departments to support clients seeking support with antitrust issues and unfair commercial practices, helping them bring damages actions, actions to obtain interim measures and actions concerning the validity of contracts.

Funtap; Shutterstock US alternative legal services provider UnitedLex has hired five former Big Four digital transformation experts as it seeks to meet increased demand from corporate legal departments to digitise their businesses. The quintet includes David Clarke, Audra Nichols and Christian Schmitt, who join from PwC, while Bhavesh Patel – who also earlier worked at PwC – joins from West Monroe Partners and Mike Duggan joins from Deloitte. The move comes as the Big Four accountancy firms step up their own efforts to target legal departments KPMG having launched a global legal operations consultancy service in October while a month earlier Deloitte Legal hired a trio of consultants from Elevate.
