NHS Digital figures show that 2,928 professionally qualified clinical staff were working at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust in January – 242 more than in January 2020. There are now a total of 1,416 nurses and health visitors working for the trust – 194 more than last year. There are also 660 doctors – 44 more. The total number of clinical workers increased from 2,686 in January 2020, to 2,928 at the start of this year.
