Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav being shifted to AIIMS in New Delhi from Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital after his health deteriorated, in Ranchi.
Jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal president and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad,73, was on Saturday evening shifted to New Delhi s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for treatment.
Prasad was shifted to the Capital by air ambulance through a chartered flight. He is accompanied by his wife Rabri Devi and sons Tej Pratap and Tejashwi Yadav. Earlier an eight-member team of RIMS had referred him to AIIMS, New Delhi, for treatment.

New Delhi, Jan 16: Over 1.91 lakh beneficiaries were inoculated with COVID-19 jabs at 3,351 session sites across the country on Saturday and no case of post-inoculation hospitalisation has been reported so far, the government said on the first day of India s massive vaccination drive against the virus.
Total vaccinators involved across India were 16,755. Total beneficiaries vaccinated stood at 1,91,181. Serum Institute of India produced COVISHIELD was supplied to all States/UTs. Bharat Biotech s COVAXIN was supplied to 12 States. Total 3,351 sessions held across the country with both the vaccines, the ministry said.
