New Delhi, May 17 : The first batch of DRDO-developed anti-Covid drug 2-DG (2-deoxy-D-glucose) was launched on Monday to treat patients suffering from the deadly disease. The medicine comes in powder form and can be taken with water.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Health Minister Harsh Vardhan released the first batch of the 2-DG, an anti-Covid-19 therapeutic application of the drug developed by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), a lab of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in collaboration with Dr Reddy s Laboratories (DRL).

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police and Delhi s AIIMS hospital on Friday denied that underworld gangster Chhota Rajan has died due to the deadly coronavirus COVID-19 infection. Chhota Rajan, 61, was admitted to Delhi s Delhi s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on April 26 after he tested positive for COVID-19.
Several reports surfaced today that the Mumbai underworld gangster, who was undergoing treatment at the AIIMS after his condition deteriorated, died due to COVID-19 related complications in the afternoon. However, the police and AIIMS hospital dismissed the report and stated that he is alive and is being treated.

There are reports on the death of Underworld Don Chhota Rajan. While some reports suggest that the don is no more and took his final breath at the AIIMS in Delhi, some are saying that he is still alive and is undergoing treatment for Covid19.
One report said that Rajan died due to a Covid19 infection at Delhi s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday. He was undergoing treatment for the infection at AIIMS, but after some time his condition became critical and he died due to some complications. He was rushed to the hospital on April 24. There has been no confirmation regarding this news from DGP Tihar Jail.
