New Delhi, May 25 : Delhi s IGI Airport on Tuesday handled the 100th Covid-19 relief flight, which brought about 10 metric tonnes of medical aid from Russia.
According to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a GMR Group-led consortium, the airport has so far handled 100 relief flights during the second wave of the pandemic, which brought in aid from over 36 countries.

Delhi airport s T2 terminal closed amid COVID-19 pandemic
The Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi will shut operations at T2 terminal due to falling number of flights amid the second wave of coronavirus. The terminal will be shut from Monday midnight. All flights will be handled at the T3 terminal only from Monday midnight, according to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL. The two airlines GoAir and IndiGo have been asked to move to T3.

From midnight of May 17, flight operations at the Terminal 2 of New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport will be temporarily suspended.
According to the authorities, the decision has been taken in view of a sharp surge in Covid-19 cases in the country.
“We are suspending all flight operations from T-2 as there has been a significant drop in the number of passengers recorded due to Covid-19. Go Air and Indigo will continue their operations from T-3,” a Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) official said.
“Lack of flyers has led to the suspension of operations at Delhi IGI Airport’s (T2) from May 17 as, Delhi continues to witness a sharp surge in Covid-19 cases,” the official added.
