New Delhi, Feb 3 : Two Shiromani Akali Dal leaders quit their party on Wednesday to join the Shiromani Akali Dal-Delhi, alleging that the Badal family are communalising the farmers protest for furthering their personal agenda.
Harinder Pal Singh and Jatinder Singh Sahani, who are also members of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), also accused the party of deviating from the core policy and ideology on which it was formed and that its leadership had failed to take action against their complaint of corruption in DSGMC.

New Delhi [India], February 3 (ANI): Manjit Singh GK, former President of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) on Wednesday sent a legal notice to Twitter asking to take down actor Kangana Ranaut s defamatory tweet against Sikh Community.
Manjit Singh GK through his lawyer Naginder Benipal has sent a legal notice to Manish Maheshwari, Managing Director of Twitter India, complaining about maligning and tarnishing the image of farmers and the entire Sikh community. That the present notice is given for attacking the farmers and the Sikh community who are protesting against the three farm laws passed by Central government with the assent of President of India. The Delhi High Court on Monday issued a notice to Aaj Tak, Press Council of India and the Centre on a plea alleging misreporting by the news channel on the farmers’ Republic Day tractor rally, reported

The petition has sought restraining fake news by taking accountability measures as well as framing guidelines, laws and bye-laws, including fixing appropriate punishment for the violation of the proposed rules. The plea has been filed by Rajya Sabha MP Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Manjit Singh GK, the former president of the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee.
1. A 31yr old farmer has passed away at Tikri Border. Jagdeep Singh from Rampur Fanna village had come to Tikri on 1st feb on his tractor. He passed away this morning. Heart attack is cited as reason of death.
2. Another farmer named Bant Singh of village Bhari Panecha has passed away today. He was part of protests since December 5, 2020. Heart attack is said to be reason of death.
3. Indian Metrology department issuing an alert for severe cold for 3rd and 4th feb, the cases of illnesses and deaths among sitting farmers are likely to increase. Some old men and unwell people have been sent home from Tikri.
