Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter, Harshita Kejriwal lost Rs. 34,000 in an online scam. She was trying to sell an old sofa on a famous online website, and instead lost a hefty amount.
Such frauds are increasing day by day, especially with the sale-purchase online platform OLX, where even Harshita got scammed. A person lists their item for sale on OLX and most of the time they end up getting calls from scammers.
According to the police report, Harshita first listed an old sofa on OLX to sell. She soon got a call from a buyer and she finalized the deal with him. For payment, the buyer asked her to scan a barcode and said the required amount would transfer into her bank account. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter Harshita Kejriwal fell prey to an online scam. According to police, Harshita was duped of Rs 34,000 by an online scammer when she was trying to sell a second-hand sofa on the popular sale-purchase online platform OLX.
The police said that Harshita had listed a used sofa on the online platform. When she finalised the deal with a person, he asked her to scan a bar code to transfer the agreed amount of sofa in her account. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced that the Covid vaccination drive will start in the National Capital from January 16 and as many as 100 people will be vaccinated daily at each centre spread across 81 locations in Delhi.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today said his government had made all preparations for the Covid-19 vaccination programme that rolls out across India from Saturday and that he had reviewed the situation. Delhi had received 2.74 lakh vaccines from the Centre, of which 1.2 lakh will be used for health care workers. Up to 2.4 lakh such personnel have, in all, registered for inoculation against the coronavirus, he said.
Each individual receives two doses of the vaccine, according to the schedule.
The state government will roll out vaccination at 81 centres and progressively increase it to 175, and then to 1,000 centres, Mr Kejriwal said today in a public address. At each of these centres, up to 100 vaccines will be administered. The inoculation will be done on four days in a week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
