New Delhi [India], April 20 (ANI): Delhi registered the biggest spike of new 28,395 coronavirus cases and 277 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the data released by the Delhi government s health department on Tuesday.
The COVID-19 positivity rate in the city 32.82 per cent. With the addition of fresh cases, Delhi s Covid tally reached over 9 lakhs, while the death toll mounted to 12,638. There are 85,575 active cases in Delhi.
According to a health bulletin, 98,632 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 1,64,05,232 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the national capital.

New Delhi [India], April 20 (ANI): Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Tuesday said that there is an acute shortage of medical oxygen at the city s GTB Hospital as it may not last beyond 4 hours. Media people are asking about oxygen supplied to Delhi. 240 Mt and 365 Mt oxygen supplied to Delhi on Mon & Tue against requirement of 700 mt per day. Stock position in most of the hospitals is not more than 10 to 12 hours. Every day we require 700 mt oxygen, he said in another tweet.

Earlier, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had informed that only 8 to 12 hours of oxygen is available in most hospitals of the national capital.

New Delhi: The National Capital Delhi recorded 28,395 new Covid-19 cases and 277 deaths in the past 24 hours. This is Delhi s highest single-day spike in Covid-19 cases ever since the pandemic began last year.
The new Coronavirus cases and deaths in Delhi are rising even as the government imposed complete lockdown. The lockdown which began on Monday will continue till April 26, 2021.
Reporting thousands of new Corona cases, Delhi is struggling to arrange sufficient stock of medical oxygen. Chaotic scenes are seen in various hospitals as they are left with just few hours of stock.
