New Delhi: The Delhi Police officials on Friday (July 2, 2021) announced that the Assistant Commissioners will organise public hearing camps at police stations in the national capital every Saturday between 4 pm and 6 pm. The ‘Jan Sunwai camps will be organised on Commissioner Balaji Shrivastava s directions to ensure speedy redressal of public grievances, the officials said.

The decision comes after the DDMA received written assurance from the market associations, Chamber of Trade and Industry and shopkeepers.
The East Delhi markets are allowed to open with certain conditions in place.
In its order, the DDMA has also asked officials to set up a mobile testing van in the area and organise COVID-19 vaccination drives for shopkeepers and vendors.

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has allowed the opening of all markets, market complexes and malls from 10 am to 8 pm from Saturday. Market Trade Associations (MTAs) and shopkeepers of the market have been assigned the responsibility of keeping a check on strict adherence of COVID-Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) in their respective market places, violation of which would result in shutting down of the particular market immediately, Delhi government s order stated. After assurance from traders that COVID-Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) will be followed thoroughly, the DDMA has allowed the Main Bazar, Laxmi Nagar from Vikas Marg to Lovely Public School, Kishan Kunj, and its surrounding markets to open from today (July 3).
